When to build a new Website?

When to build a new Website?

Many people I talk to say they want to have a new site because they feel it’s outdated, or they think their competitors’ sites looks better.

To start, good to keep in mind that you can always upgrade your site in terms of UI/ UX, instead of designing and developing a new one.

Good to also keep in mind that it’s not always good to build a new site, as your users that have been using your site for a while, might not like your new site look or experience; in return you will lose customers and revenues.

It’s easy to be sold by web development companies to build you a new site, by showing you how your competitors have better sites, showing you new site features and trends, or showing you how low your website ranks on some scoring tools.

The best few ways to know if your site is good enough, is to show it to some of your connections, some clients, use heat mapping tools, and check your Google Analytics to understand user behavior, user flow, bounce rate, and conversion rate. If you think you could do better, then start with upgrading your site.
