UI Design stands for user interface design. A UI designer is in charge of the visual aspects of designing a digital interface. Consider it the look and feel of a website or mobile app. UI design falls under the the broad category of user experience design, which is focuses on providing the end user with an overall good experience. UI designers are in charge of fonts, colors, grid & layout, hierarchy, consistency, mobile designs, and much more. Tools often used by designers is Sketch or Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, and even Javascript.
