Every brand has a color, and every color has a meaning. Colors evoke feelings and play a big role in creating your brand identity. It's important to make sure that when choosing colors for your brand, you are generating the right feeling.

For instance, Green represents freshness and energy. Think Starbucks, Whole Foods, Hulu, or Spotify. It represents ‘Go!’ and positivity.

Blue, promotes calmness and tranquility but also implies loyalty and trust. Think General Electric, Febreeze, Dawny, Facebook, and Lowe’s.

Purple conveys royalty and creativity; serenity and luxury. Think Cadburry, Hallmark, and Crown Royal; but also Instagram and NYU.

Yellow evokes feelings of warmth, happiness, positivity, and excitement. Think McDonald’s, BestBuy, Snapchat, and Amazon.

Orange implies energy and vibrancy; hard-working yet playful. Think Home Depot, Nike, Firefox, and Harley Davidson.

Red has long been associated with Power. Think Coca Cola, CNN, TIME Magazine, Netflix, and YouTube.

Black represents elegance, authority, and strength. Think Mercedes Benz, The New York Times, Gucci, and Chanel.

As you can see, color plays a huge role in how people perceive your brand. For more information, be sure to check out our post on the latest web design trends.
