How to Make Your Website Mobile Friendly - Hartford WordPress

Published
We'll show you how to make sure your WordPress website looks good on mobile, desktop and tablet devices.

In this hands-on demonstration, you'll learn:

What is a "responsive" website?
How to measure how well your website works on mobile devices.
How to see what your site looks like on different devices.
Some things to avoid for mobile devices.
How to adjust your website to be more responsive.
Advanced adjustments using CSS media queries.
We'll use only free tools and plugins and the functionality built into the free Kadence WordPress theme.

We'll also use our animal shelter website in our live demonstrations, but we highly encourage you to follow along with your own website. You can bring up any questions about your own site so we can have a good interactive discussion.

This is part of our continuing series where we build a website live, from scratch over the course of several Meetups. The site we're creating is for a fictional animal shelter.
