Building digital teams at Liverpool City Council

Published
The most significant barriers to digital progress in local government are “..insufficient staff capacity and digital skills” according to an Audit Scotland report released in January—a finding that may also resonate for councils in Australia and New Zealand.

However, rapid digital progress is especially important for Liverpool City Council. The population of its 42 fast-growing suburbs in Sydney’s west are expected to almost double over the next 20 years, and achievement of the level of community engagement and council operational efficiencies required to understand and meet community expectations will lean heavily on digital.

In this on-demand session, you’ll hear from Dan Lavorato, Digital Services, and Design Coordinator at Liverpool City Council, who is helping raise digital capability at the council through building digital teams and designating product ambassadors.

In this exclusive session, Dan will cover:
- Liverpool City Council’s digital ambitions
- The skills needed now and in a more digital future
- Identifying and bridging the digital skills capability gap
